Community effort needed to clean up town
To successfully eradicate the mindless act of tagging, it is important that the whole community lends their support to the MyTagMyTown project managed by AlphaMedia Productions. “Tagging is not just a police matter” says Constable Warren Watts of Matamata Police Station. “It is a community matter and we all have to work together if an initiative like this is to be successful.”
Is the mayor involved in tagging?
A three-year anti-tagging education pilot project is due to be launched in the Matamata-Piako region within the next two months, aimed at eight to 12 year old students.
