Morrinsville Fun Day at the Wallace Art Gallery

What a spectacular way to end the 2010 My Tag Fun Days...The Morrinsville Fun Day (held at the new Wallace Art Gallery) was all about artistic license!

While Jono our MC (seated on a funky green couch on the pavement!) asked youth to share over the microphone their favorite thing about Morrinsville (so the whole town could hear!). Many others were inside viewing the incredible artwork that schools contributed about 'their town'.

Beautiful movable boards & posters graced the inside of the art gallery, for all to enjoy as well as vote for their favorite ones! Not only were hands quickly jotting down their favorite poster & board, but Morrinsville youth also completed a MyTag survey about what they would like to see in Morrinsville, watch this space - results will be posted here soon!

More wonderful prizes were given away, this time everything from a paintball prize, to cash, T-Shirts and LOTS of chocolate bars!

Everyone who wandered through the door, filled out the Morrinsville Youth Survey, or chatted with our friend Jono about their town also got to enjoy the free sausage sizzle put on by The Morrinsville Lions group - who enjoyed the day as much as the kids did!

We can look forward to seeing the artistically painted boards put in permanent place by Matamata-Piako District Council in and around the area to be enjoyed by all.

Another successful day where the community all joined as one for the day!
